The representative of the Leading Marja’iya in Europe emphasized the importance of reciting the Supplication of Al-Nudba on Fridays, stating: “The Supplication of Al-Nudba is not merely a traditional text, but a living pulse in the conscience of the nation, uniting faith and emotion, history and future, pain and hope. Reciting it is an opportunity to renew our covenant with God and with Imam Al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), and to reflect on our responsibilities during the Occultation.”

His statement was made at the Al-Kafeel Diwan during the morning session held annually by the Al-Ain Social Welfare Foundation on Fridays for the recitation of this blessed supplication. It is one of the supplications recited during the Ziyarate of Imam Al-Hujjah (may Allah hasten his reappearance) and is among the most important supplications for seeking intercession from Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance). It is recommended to recite it on the four major holidays (Ghadir, Friday, Eid al-Adha, and Eid al-Fitr), and indeed every day after the Fajr prayer. His Eminence emphasized the importance of reciting this supplication, highlighting its spiritual significance through the following points:

1- Reviving the link with Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance): One of the most prominent features of the Supplication of al-Nudba is that it reconnects the believer with the Imam of his time, not merely as a mental concept, but as a living presence in the heart. The supplication is full of expressions of longing and yearning, such as: “Where is al-Hasan? Where is al-Husayn? Where are the sons of al-Husayn?” These expressions create an emotional state that makes the Imam (peace be upon him) present in the believer’s heart.
This connection has a profound impact on guiding behaviour, as those who feel the watchful presence of their Imam and their connection to him are more committed to religious values.

2- Establishing the concept of positive waiting: This supplication does not present waiting [for the reappearance] as a passive state of seeking nearness, but rather as a state of awareness, readiness, and responsibility. The believer who recites this supplication understands that the Imam’s occultation does not signify separation, but rather necessitates working to prepare the ground for his reappearance. Thus, reciting supplications cultivates in a person a spirit of reform and a sense of responsibility towards oneself and one's community.

3- Instilling hope in times of crisis: In times of widespread injustice and oppression, people need a source of hope. The Supplication of Al-Nudba reinforces this hope by emphasizing that divine justice is inevitable and that the righteous state will be established under the leadership of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance). This meaning alleviates despair and grants the believer spiritual strength to face challenges.

4- Strengthening faith-based identity: Supplications contribute to solidifying the believer's doctrinal identity by reminding them of the fundamentals of the religion and the path of the prophets and imams (peace be upon them), making them more aware of their intellectual and spiritual roots. Believers in London, from various Muslim communities, have made it a tradition to recite it every Friday in their homes and institutions. We hope they will continue this practice daily after the Fajr prayer, especially during these times when believers are facing hardship and distress, and have no recourse but to turn to Allah and supplicate through the Prophet and his family (peace be upon them), particularly the awaited Imam (may Allah hasten his reappearance). May Allah relieve their suffering and grant them victory over their enemies, for He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.

We ask Allah Almighty to guide us to His obedience and pleasure, and to make us among those who await His chosen leader and pave the way for his Sultanate - He is the source of all success, and He is sufficient for us, and the best of guardians.
